Countries With the Highest Unemployment Rates
Millions of jobs were lost in the 2008 global financial crisis, and with growth slowing, the job market is looking shaky once again.
The U.S. shed 8.3 million jobs during the recession and only 43 percent of the lost jobs have been recouped in the last 34 months.

Younger workers in particular are facing the worst job prospects in recent times. The unemployment rate for young workers in the euro zone is over 22 percent; in Greece and Spain it is over 50 percent.
With this in mind, we’ve put together a list of 10 countries with the highest unemployment rates among the world’s 50 largest economies. The ranking is based on 2011 annual average unemployment rates from the International Labour Organization (ILO). The ILO gathered the numbers from national statistics sources.
So, which major economies around the world have the highest jobless rates? Click ahead to find out.

Greek Far Right Politician Attacks 2 Women on Live TV

Tensions ahead of fresh elections in Greece on June 17 spilled over in a televised political debate on Thursday when a spokesman for the far right Golden Dawn party physically attacked two female members of parliament from opposing political parties throwing water at one and punches at another.

Video of the incident, posted on Youtube but since removed, shows Ilias Kasidiaris in heated exchanges with Syriza party deputy Rena Dourou.

Why Christine Lagarde Doesn’t Pay Tax
Christine Lagarde, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund, has rarely been out of the headlines this week – and on Tuesday a storm erupted on the Internet over the news that she pays no tax on her salary.  Her salary is $467,940 (£298,675) a year plus $83,760 additional allowance – equivalent to around $630,000 if she were paying U.S. top rate income tax of 35 percent. This is a substantial sum, more than U.S. President Barack Obama or Secretary of State Hilary Clinton brings home in a year. Yet she could earn more if she were still able to juggle prestigious jobs in the private sector.
The storm has the distinct whiff of an imbroglio in the crockery.
